You may have heard about Fez creator Phil Fish’s breakdown that would have been TMZ worthy if he were a film or music celebrity. This includes insulting gamers, getting into an embittered Battle-On-The-Internet fight with GameTrailer’s Host Marcus Beer and eventually announcing his plans to cancel Fez 2 with “im done. FEZ II is canceled. goodbye.” Which Fish assures us has nothing to do with his previous twitter tirades even though it comes straight off a twitter tirade.
But it’s okay Phil, people love you. Well at least Cliffy B loves you. In a recent tumblr post Cliffy B assures Phil Fish it gets better. Or rather it doesn’t get better, but there are jerks on the internet and you have to learn to deal with it. Actually I’m not sure what the moral here is. I’m also not sure why this had to be public on Cliffy’s part other than he wanted the spotlight back on him for a little bit. He does however make a genuine plea asking Phil to return to game design.
