The two limited edition 3DS XLs feature Xerneas and Yveltal, who are apparently legendary Pokemon in X and Y. I wouldn’t know because the last Pokemon game I played was Yellow.
Pokemon X and Y will be subsequently coming out on October 12th, so you’ll have some time to break your new 3DS in should you go this route.
The systems themselves look pretty extravagant, so they might not be your cup of tea. It may be worth noting that although they come in red and blue, the actual art on the systems is the same; pictures of both Xerneas and Yveltal side by side.
