Ubisoft has announced today that they will be taking some more time to get their next-gen flag ship title, Watch Dogs, out of the gates.
From their blog:
We struggled with whether we would delay the game. But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience.
This might concern you a bit if you’re like me and specifically ordered a next-gen console with a Watch Dogs bundle. You may want to get in touch with your respective retailer to make sure you don’t experience any delays in getting your system as a result of this push back.
Ubisoft hasn’t announced an official new release date instead simply citing “Spring 2014”.
