Even though the Wii has sold over 100 million units, Nintendo is certain there are people out there who still don’t own a Wii. That may be true, and if it’s the case there’s absolutely no excuse not to own one with the Wii Mini launching at a price point of $99.
It’s a tiny little black box with red trim that comes with a Wii Remote Plus and Mario Kart Wii; at a price like this, they might as well advertise it as “buy a Wii Remote Plus and Mario Kart Wii and get a free Wii.”
It’s actually a really good bargain for someone who has missed out entirely on the Wii, though it’s hard to think of a single person who doesn’t have one at this point.
Those who get hooked to their new-old system can pick up a bunch of Nintendo Selects for only $20 a pop, titles like Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Super Paper Mario. Three more games have also recently been discounted to $30: Mario Galaxy 2, Wii Sports Resort, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
You can look forward to the release of the Wii Mini sometime in mid-November. The 17th, to be precise. For shinier pictures of Mario having a blast without you, you can go here: http://www.nintendo.com/wiimini
