Elder Scrolls Online Limited Edition Deets - Enemy Slime

Elder Scrolls Online Limited Edition Deets

Something Imperial this way comes...

News

Earlier today Amazon may have accidentally linked some Elder Scrolls Online collector’s edition details, only to correct their mistake, then have Bethesda and Zenimax confirm with an official announcement on their website.

They’re calling it the “Imperial Edition”, and with good reason. As part of the bonus content you have the ability to create an Imperial, a member of Tamriel’s diverse selection of playable races that have until recently been missing from the 3 factions presented in Elder Scrolls Online. The Lore reason for this is the Empire seems to have gone full Sith, aligning themselves with the forces of the evil daedric prince Molag Bal, but it seems a few Imperials said “Aw, naw dawg chill” and went ahead and teamed up with one of the other in-game factions of the Daggerfall Covenant, the Ebonheart Pact or the Aldmeri Dominion. In that same vein pre-ordering the game will allow you to roll any race in any of the alliances, if that’s your kind of thing, Traitor.

It’s interesting that they would use this tenth playable race as the carrot on the stick, the Imperials often normally playable as the merchants and gold diggers of the races of man. Other features include an Imperial mount for any character, a mudcrab pet, two rings of Mara so you can give one to your BFF and receive an experience bonus when you play together. An artbook, map of Tamriel and statue of Molag Bal will come with the special physical copy of the game. You can order a digital special addition that comes with aforementioned Imperial goodies at a lower price point, but sans-artbook, statue and map.

The special physical edition is looking at a hefty but constantly reoccurring price point of US $99.99 EU €99.99 UK £89.99 AU $139.95, with the digital special edition coming in at US $79.99 EU €79.99 UK £69.99 and AU$119.95. So, how much is it worth to you to play as an Imperial? Email me and let me know!

The game will have a monthly subscription fee of US $14.99, You won’t need a Playstation Plus membership to play it on PS4, however those playing on the Xbox One will need an Xbox Gold account. This has more to do with Microsoft’s side than Zenimax’s.

The ESRB has given Elder Scrolls Online a rating of Mature, though Zenimax is unwilling to change its content for a family friendlier rating. Both the standard and special edition are open for pre-order at major retailers, with digital versions available on the Elder Scrolls Online website.

A new cinematic trailer has also been released which you can check out below.
