Won't leave DayZ completely hanging, a year before he moves on at least.

Dean Hall, the lead developer of early access game DayZ will be stepping down his role at the end of this year he announced in an interview with Eurogamer.

As part of this announcement Hall has said he intends to start his own game company in his native New Zealand. Hall admits it will take awhile to get this new startup off the ground, but expresses some interest in continuing to develop more multiplayers stating he’s very interested in survival games. Hall calls DayZ a flawed concept that can’t ever achieve his dream of being the ‘perfect’ multiplayer.

He assures that he’s not going to just up and leave DayZ hanging, insisting that he’ll be with DayZ for as long as Bohemia Interactive needs him. He also doesn’t forsee himself completely leaving DayZ.
