In this day and age of gaming packages with a “pay what you want” model that simultaneously grants exposure to indie titles one may have not really heard of otherwise, Moshboy seeks to go one further with his Pirate Bay Bundle.
Up on the torrent website now is a collection of 100 games from the deepest, darkest parts of the internet curated for your pleasure. The bundle promises “101 small, weird, free, mostly ignored videogames bundled into a torrent.” Each of the games bundled here were done with the creator’s permission, while the package itself serves as an extension of moshboy’s youtube channel that finds the oddest and most obscure indie titles to appreciate.
I’ve definitely heard of at least one of these titles (Free Ice Cream, the point and click escape adventure) but the rest of these are indeed quite new to me. Whether they were made out of boredom, at game jams, or just because the creators felt like it, you’re guaranteed to find some quirky, interesting mechanics in these games and be sent on a bit of a psychedelic mind trip.
