Last night InXile Enetretainment released a massive update for their upcoming game: Wasteland 2. This update added the remaining parts of Arizona to the game, doubling the current beta in size, and giving early access players and KickStarter Backers access to half of all the areas that are available in the game. They have also added that the focus on the next few months will be in optimization, balancing, debugging, and all the other less sexy but still necessary tasks in game development.
Perhaps the most interesting thing announced yesterday, is a tentative release window for the game: late August of 2014. Originally slated for October of 2013, Wasteland 2 was delayed indefinitely, to accommodate for the sizable increase in scope caused by the extremely successful KickStarter Campaign. Personally I look forward to playing the full version, as I am a fan of Brian Fargo’s other famous game: Fallout. If you can’t wait until August, you can always try the early access beta, though $60 for it seems excessive.
