Those who are observant may realize that spring was over 3 days ago, and though RockStar released two updates the heists we were promised months ago are conspicuously missing. Recently, RockStar announced the their “I’m Not a Hispster” Update with new clothing and aesthetic items to ironically show you are not a hipster by dressing like a hipster. This also includes the usual additions of cars and weapons.
More importantly, on comment from RockStar Support below the announcement, the company said that the heists would take more time, and apologized for the delay.
For those of you asking about other upcoming GTA Online updates, we have lots more in store coming your way soon. We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support. Stay tuned for more information on that as well as lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of GTA Online that are on the way.
It its good, if a bit late, for them to recognize that this has been an issue with their product. I personally do wonder how much of this has to do with GTA 5 now being ported to PC and next gen consoles.
I still want to play at least one heist with my friends, but I wish they had released a finished product.
