If you read Jay’s Shadowrun Dragonfall Review and said to yourself “I really like how that sounds but I don’t want to have to pay for the core game” then it is a good day to be you, my hypothetical friend. Harebrained Schemes has revealed plans to release Shadowrun Dragonfall-Director’s Cut which will be a stand alone version of the expansion. The game will be priced at $14.99, which is the same price it held back in its DLC form. The director’s cut boasts new art, an improved UI and more quests, among other improvements, and it will be available for purchase on September 18th.
Backers of the Shadowruns Returns kickstarter and owners of the Dragonfall DLC have access to Dragonfall Director’s Cut free of charge. The only wrinkle in this is that if you were already deep into a game of the Dragonfall DLC, you won’t be able to import your save to the Director’s Cut, but otherwise, good news for everyone.
