Xbox One Gets A $50 Dollar Price Drop

A price cut, because they know you'll just give them the money back with the Master Chief Collection.

It’s no secret that Microsoft has been playing catch up to Sony ever since the announcement of their respective consoles. The Playstation 4 has better technical specs, a lower pricepoint, and didn’t have to go through that challenging year where it kept re-inventing itself over and over again. Now with the holidays pressing down upon them, Microsoft has announced what will likely be their last big move in an attempt to grab some market share for Christmas.

Starting next week on November 2nd and ending January 3rd of next year, you’ll be able to snag a Kinect-less Xbox One for $50 less, putting the price at $349.00. The bundles shown in the video will also reflect $50 discounts, but that won’t necessarily put them at the $349 price point.

Sunset Overdrive is getting mostly favorable reviews, The Master Chief Collection is looking like some crazy value, and the Halo 5 beta is supposed to hit in December. Microsoft is making a pretty strong case for now being the time to grab an Xbox One if you’ve been on the fence about it.
