Those who have been keeping an eye on Brian Fargo’s Wasteland 2 knew the release date was supposed to be sometime in August. As the month named after the Roman emperor rolled around and there was no solid release date, the suspicion that weren’t going to see an August release arose. In a blog post last Friday, inXile confirmed those suspicions by announcing that the game will once again be delayed. The latest best estimate is that the game will be ready for release in September, likely in the second week although the developer hasn’t truly committed to a solid date.
The game does seem to be close to completion, as the blog post indicates. The news also included information on the most recent updates, which you can view here. This is not necessarily bad news. it is often better to wait until everything works well rather than have to put up with an unfinished game.
