Yesterday Capcom of Japan announced that they would be conducting beta location tests for the new Ultra Street Fighter IV in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya from January 31st to February 2nd. Participants can try out the game as well as receive limited-edition gifts featuring collaborations with the manga High Score Girl. While everyone outside of Japan may be asking themselves why they should care, Capcom will also be unveiling four new playable characters: Poison, Hugo, Elena and Rolento.
Furthermore, the beta version will be unveiling new features which are demoed in the video below:
The new gameplay features include the Red Saving Attack, which appears to be a powerful counter move against strong combos, and the Ultra Double Combo system. Also, Ultra Street Fighter IV will feature an online team-battle mode which will allow for 3-on-3 versus matches, as well as an online training mode where players can invite their friends to multiplayer training sessions.
For anyone who might actually be in Japan, the locations for the beta location testing are:
Hey (Tokyo, Akihabara)
Taito Station (Osaka, Nipponbashi)
Taito Station (Nagoya, Osu)
