Evolve Interactive Trailer - Enemy Slime

Evolve Interactive Trailer

The next best thing to playing it yourself.

Now you have the chance to play Evolve vicariously through other games via the marvel of technology that is Youtube and its annotations.

Turtle Rock Studios treated us to an interactive video of a match played in Novato, California earlier this month. The trailer allows you to watch the match from the perspective of all four class roles and, most awesomely, from the perspective of the monster.

It looks to be a very fast game of cat and mouse, with the monster power leaping away like it’s the Incredible Hulk to escape pursuers, heal up, and go back to trying to trash the team of four players.

While anyone who is familiar with FPS games, especially ones turned out by Valve, should be familiar with the classes in Evolve, we do get to see some uniqueness in the way Trapper plays out as well as the aspects of hunting lesser monsters and evolving the alien monster.

So far the game looks stunning in motion, and I’m a fan of some of the models and guns we see (the Salveron is a particular favorite of mine, a healing beam with an Aliens vibe.)

Evolve is looking at a 2014 Fall release window, out for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
