A listing for a PlayStation 4 and Playstation Vita has been spotted on Amazon France earlier today. The bundle, called the “Ultimate Player Edition” is listed for €579, or $790. The current price of the PS4 in Europe is €399.99 ($540) and the PlayStation Vita is on sale for179.99 ($245), which means the bundle doesn’t offer much in the way of savings. Pictured in the box is a copy of Infamous Second Son, which might mean that it is included in the bundle. That said, it might just be a photo for the box. This is expected to go on sale in July 4th.
Twitter user Wario 64 also spotted the Best Buy ad pictured below, offering a bundle for a PS Vita, PlayStation 4, and Borderlands 2 for $560. However, there is no way of knowing if this is a Sony Bundle, or a Best Buy promotion. This February, Sony executives announced they had no plans to release a PS4 and PS Vita bundle, but four months is a long time, and with increased competition from their rival Microsoft, which recently announced a price drop for their Xbox One console. They may feel that E3 is the perfect time to announce the bundle, since remote play is one of the things the Xbox One absolutely cannot offer.
Well that’s interesting. $560 PS4 + Vita bundle at Best Buy next week. Think it’s just a Best Buy bundle though pic.twitter.com/ncEza0BtBT
