So I suppose I am now Enemy Slime’s official weeaboo correspondent, which means I’ll be reporting on the Japanese things whether I like it or not.
If you somehow haven’t heard of Attack on Titan, it is one of the most popular anime titles out this year both in Japan and the West, and episodes are available to watch subtitled on the website Crunchyroll.
The anime, derived from a manga published by Kodansha, is about the struggle of the dwindling members of humanity against spiteful creatures known as titans that spend their time chomping down on humans for seemingly no other reason than they’re giant dicks. What’s left of the human military fights back using equipment known as 3D Maneuver Gear (or 3DMG), allowing them high flying acrobatic antics as they attempt to kill these titans. The game allows you to play as one of the show’s protagonists, Eren, Mikasa or Armin, or create your own character to join humankind’s struggle.
The trailer shows off a few wire flying antics as well as the character creator, and early reports boast of multiplayer, which means one of you can serve as a tasty distraction for a titan while the other hacks away at its neck. The game will be released December 5th in Japan, no word on a localization yet but given the show’s popularity my money is that one won’t be far behind.
