Ubisoft began the 2014 Press Conference with the first 5 minutes of Far Cry 4. The player is traveling on a bus, heading towards what seems an armed border. Executive Producer Dan Hay later revealed it was in the Himalayas. After some guns are fired and blood is shed, the viewers were introduced to villain Pagan Min.

“We’ll give you a fake passport, a little bit of cash, and a gun. And after that, well- you’re fucked,” said Hay

Far Cry 4 is set to release November 18.

Host Aisha Tyler introduced Just Dance 2015, which will have an updated tracklist, including music by Ellie Goulding, Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams. Executive Producer Jason Altman introduced a new feature called Just Dance Now. By connecting a smart phone to an internet-connected big screen (like a tablet or smart TV) the player’s smartphone becomes the controller. He promised real time, in sync game play.

“This isn’t just a breakthrough for Just Dance. It’s a breakthrough in latency free multi device online gaming,” said Altman.

Just Dance 2015 is set to release in October.

The next game was Tom Clancy’s The Division, introduced by producer Petter Mannerfelt. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic New York City, where disease killed most people, and violence and chaos are killing the rest.

“As an agent of the Division, you’re a member of a civilian elite, trained in secret and embedded in society,” said Mannerfelt.

The player is thrust into society three weeks after the release of the virus and is tasked with taking back the city and discovering the conspiracy behind the pandemic.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is set to release in 2015.

Creative Director Julian Gerighty presented The Crew, Ubisoft’s MMO racing game where players can create teams and drive together or against each other all over the United States. The game also allows the players to customize their vehicles in hundreds of new ways. Gerighty made it a point to incorporate gamers into the creation of the game.

“We’ve been striving to put the gamers at the heart of our experience so we’ve given extended access to the game to members of our community and driving fanatics,” said Gerighty. “It’s helping us get some perspective on what works, what needs some love, and what everyone thinks is awesome.”

The beta will be out July 23 and the game is set to release November 11, 2014.

Next was Assassin’s Creed Unity, where Creative Director Alex Amancio emphasized the game’s ability to let the player carve his or her own path. This presentation featured some gameplay, where one could see the assassin given a main mission and allowed to pick up other missions on his way. For example, the player could choose to catch a thief seen pickpocketing or defend citizens from bourgeoisie soldiers. The player can also customize the newest assassin to join the creed, Arno.

“You’ll experience the revolution through his eyes, build up your own skill set and arsenal to suit your own unique play style and approach,” said Amancio.

The trailer and gameplay also revealed a new four player co-op, giving clarity to the title “Unity”.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is set for release October 25, 2014.

The next game was Shape Up, Ubisoft’s workout game. Creative Director Charles Huteau highlighted that the title will feel like more of an adventure and less of a gym experience.

“Your workout will finally become an epic game. Your personal program an exciting quest. Your coach will train you for the ultimate boss fight,” said Huteau.

Huteau demonstrated one challenge called Piano Step, a DDR-like game where the player must hit piano keys as the colors match the keys. He showcased the replay feature, which lets the player record every performance, save it for later, send it to friends or try to beat their own high score by playing against themselves.

After, two Ubisoft employees, one representing the US and the other France, played against each other in a push-up contest. The game made heavier on-screen items appear on the players’ backs as they did more push-ups. Objects included arcade machines and blue whales.

Shape Up is set to release in November.

After was the trailer for Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a game set during the World War I. The game was developed using the Ubi Art Framework, and so it has a very captivating and interesting art style.

“Valiant Hearts is a unique puzzle adventure that follows the emotional journey of four characters and their canine companion through the horrors of the trenches across the western front,” said host Aisha Tyler.

The game is based on letters written during the war and comes on the 100 year anniversary of the war. Tyler placed significance on the game’s interaction between history and adventure.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is set to release on June 25, 2014.

Finally, Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot vaguely introduced pre-alpha gameplay footage for Rainbow Six: Siege after a six-year hiatus. The gameplay featured a hostage situation where one 5-person team was charged with barricading themselves in a house and securing a hostage, while the other 5-person team was tasked with rescuing the hostage.

Ubisoft mentioned no release date.
