Both Sony and Microsoft released some new information regarding their upcoming platforms at Gamescom this year. Sony went all out with a release date and a couple sly jabs at their competitor. Microsoft played it cool, tried to focus on how much they loved indies (now), and held back on announcing a release window both at Gamescom and at GDC Europe.
So when can you get your hands on some new hardware? And more importantly, what games are going to be available to go with it? The following list is every title that will be available on day 1 for each respective system. The Sony titles listed are only disc based. They have at least 18 titles releasing digitally before years end but the company hasn’t been specific yet on which ones will be available on the first day of launch. Exclusive titles are highlighted in green. (I’m going to define exclusive as titles only available on that system. A game coming to both 360 and Xbox One is not going to be highlighted.)
